The star has given the entirety of his £25,000 award winnings to the MVT, which works to save the Britain's independent music venues.
Fender was presented with the cheque on mid-October as his new release his work was declared the outstanding release of the previous year.
He has opted to donate the funds to the trust, in acknowledgment of the essential function small stages had in his beginning days.
"I couldn't be pursuing what I am doing today if it weren't for all the gigs I did around the North East, and further afield, when I was starting out," remarked Sam Fender. "These locations are legendary, but they are facing challenges."
Since the start of 2023, at least 150 of these venues have shut down – roughly 16 percent of the whole industry in the UK.
Recently, well-known musicians including Pulp, Coldplay, Katy Perry and Sheeran have all backed the trust in its efforts to keep the scene afloat, by adding a minor surcharge to their ticket costs, which goes to help independent venues.
He also took part, raising over £100k on his 2024 arena tour to assist numerous local spots across the UK.
The donation assisted venues that were confronting potential shutdown due to challenges caused by water damage, blazes and personal losses, as well as permit problems, legal disputes and neighbor objections.
Additional spaces were granted financial assistance in upgrading facilities and gear that directly benefitted artists and fans.
"The idea that revenue from performances in large arenas backs the smaller venues, where it begins for artists like me, is just logical," Fender has stated.
Fender is far from the only musician to give his honor funds to good deeds.
Back when they won the award in 1996 for their album their work, lead singer Cocker announced that the group would give their prize money to the organization the charity.
In 2002, musician Ms Dynamite shared her bounty among several charities, such as the NSPCC and a charity for Sickle Cell.
"And I donated a grand to the center, to their gymnastics class, because I practiced gymnastics when I was a child and they required updated gear," Ms Dynamite explained to the media.
Two years ago, the band donated their winnings to the community center that nurtured their band, as well as other grassroots music organisations.
And 1994 winners M People gave their winnings to a MS organization after a friend was identified with the illness.
"The victory was sufficient," said artist the singer. "The cash was the cherry on top but we could do without the extra, because we had the cake. So our success affected another person's life."
In the past week, the trust revealed it had protected several small stages in the South East, by bringing them into public stewardship.
The Joiners in the city and The Croft in that location were bought under the public acquisition scheme, which is funded by the arts council and enthusiasts who acquire "ownership units" in the venues.
