Real Madrid signed Trent Alexander-Arnold on a multi-year deal

The defender's rehabilitation is progressing well, giving possibility that the Madrid right-back might be fit in time to play against his former team Liverpool in November's Champions League tie.

The 27-year-old international suffered a hamstring strain during a match against French side Marseille in the initial phase of the competition on September 16.

Alexander-Arnold was forced off the field in the early stages, with initial indications indicating a potential layoff of around a month and a half.

Real Madrid are set to play at Liverpool on 4 November for the European fixture—precisely seven weeks after the injury took place.

Reports close to the player's condition suggest that the player's comeback is progressing positively, and there is expectation that Alexander-Arnold might make his first appearance to Anfield after signing for Real Madrid in June.

A devoted Liverpool supporter, Alexander-Arnold earlier stated that leaving the team he joined as a six-year-old academy player was the "most difficult choice he has ever made."

During his time with the Reds, Alexander-Arnold accumulated over 350 games, helping claim multiple English top-flight titles, a Champions League, and the domestic cup.

After moving to the Spanish capital, Alexander-Arnold has appeared five times in all competitions, totaling over two and a half hours of game time.
